Commander Basic


Description

The Commander Basic course is designed for newly elected VFW Commanders, Senior Vice Commanders, and Junior Vice Commanders seeking to build a strong foundation in organizational leadership. Participants will learn the responsibilities of the office, governance principles, meeting management, officer development, financial oversight, membership engagement, compliance, and strategic planning. Emphasis is placed on leading with integrity, operating within VFW governing documents, and building a healthy, sustainable Post that fulfills the mission of serving veterans, their families, and the community.
